It all started in 1980 as a two-man real estate brokerage firm known as Living Realty Inc. operating from a small, 700 square foot office in North York.

In 1982, the company relocated to a more spacious 5,000 square foot office in Markham to serve its ever-growing client base.

In 1983, Living Properties Inc. was incorporated to meet the increasing demands of its clients for professional property management services.

By 1986, the organization further expanded to a 14,000 square foot facility in Markham. In subsequent years, branch offices were opened in Downtown Toronto, North York, Scarborough and Mississauga. Services were diversified to include construction and development consultation. Living Construction Inc. was incorporated and became part of the Living Group. In 1992, the Living Group expanded overseas and became the first Canadian real estate organization to open a full service office in Hong Kong. In the same year, Living Group further diversified into new home sales services and established International Home Marketing Group Limited. In 1993, the organization established the Special Project Division to market special projects and to syndicate joint venture groups for the purpose of financing development projects. In 1995, the Living Group entered into a joint venture project to convert a 100,000 square foot office building in downtown Toronto into luxury residential condominium and retail units. The project is located at the corner of Yonge Street/Wellesley Street. In 1999, Living Realty entered into another joint venture to develop a 432-unit residential condominium project in Richmond Hill, Ontario. In 2002, provincial deregulation in professional licensing effectively allowed real estate agents to hold dual licensing - selling real estate and life insurance. Hence Living Financial Inc. was formed. Today, Living Financial Inc. is the managing general agency for RBC Life Insurance as well as Equitable Life Insurance and is comprised of over 80 life insurance agents working under this new banner.

Today, the Living Group of Companies is comprised of over 800 employees and sales representatives. Total annual real estate transactions exceed $1 billion dollars.
